Séché Environnement recognized in the "Conqueror 2022" ranking by Institut Choiseul
The Choiseul Conquerors ranking is a study conducted by Institut Choiseul that identifies 200 companies pursuing a dynamic penetration strategy in their market.
The ranking features five categories, and we are particularly proud to be considered one of the strategic autonomy champions who are “defined by their ability to produce and innovate within the most strategic sectors” and who “contribute to building a resilient French economy and ring-fencing their added value in the country for everyone’s benefit.” »
Low-carbon energy and circular economy loops
As the energy crisis continues to cast a shadow, Séché Environnement is producing local low-carbon energy from waste that can replace fossil fuel sources.
This accolade also showcases the full extent of the Group’s ability to stay ahead of the innovation curve and especially its expertise in developing circular economy loops:
- After five years of R&D, we have pioneered a unique process for regenerating bromine from hazardous waste. This regenerated bromine is subsequently used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chemical industries as a local supply source instead of producing bromine salts from the Dead Sea, which is not only more complex and costly, but features higher environmental risks. The carbon impact of recycled bromine is over 20 times less than virgin bromine.
- We can also leverage our distillation expertise to regenerate used solvents. These chemicals are widely used in several sectors of industry and are mainly fossil resources that are located far from the French mainland. The carbon footprint of recycling solvents is 80% smaller than producing virgin solvents.
Implementing circular economy loops not only provides our customers with a pathway to decarbonizing their production processes, but also reduces tensions across the supply chain since these natural resources are limited and produced far from French shores.
Waste is a resource. We are focused on our ambition of recovering more waste and strengthening the country’s strategic autonomy.
