Maxibrome receives the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution label

This label, awarded by the Solar Impulse Foundation, distinguishes solutions that combine significant environmental benefits with economic competitiveness. This certification is based on a rigorous assessment carried out by independent experts around three main criteria:

Feasibility: Maxibrome is a proven, technically and commercially viable solution, integrated into a high-performance industrial process.

Environmental benefits: This solution is part of a circular economy approach, and helps preserve natural resources and limit greenhouse gas emissions.

Economic incentive for the customer: Maxibrome combines performance and profitability by offering competitive costs to its customers.

Maxibrome: an innovative process for bromine regeneration

Assembling a thermal purification technique with concentration loops, Maxibrome recovers 99% of the bromine contained in polluted brominated brines, hazardous liquid wastes mainly from the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors.

This waste, traditionally disposed of by incineration, is now regenerated into purified and concentrated brominated brines, reusable by industry. In this way, Maxibrome contributes to the recovery of brominated waste while avoiding the extraction of a scarce natural resource.

Thanks to its production capacity, Maxibrome can meet over a third of France’s bromine demand, while consuming less water and energy than virgin bromine production.
