Bpifrance bestows a series of "Coq Vert" awards on Séché Environnement in recognition of its commitment in driving the ecological transition

Séché Environnement, an expert in promoting the circular economy and recovering all types of waste, has received a number of Coq Vert awards from a delegation of Bpifrance representatives during their visit to the site in Changé in France's Mayenne region. These awards bear testament to the Group's long-standing involvement in moving the ecological transition agenda forward.

Masterminded by Bpifrance in partnership with French environment agency ADEME and the Ministry for the Ecological Transition, Coq Vert is a community of eco-active entrepreneurs focused on sharing expertise and exchanging best practices on sustainable development. This initiative offers a wealth of opportunities and often acts as a breeding ground for projects.

To officially recognize Séché Environnement’s membership of this community, Benoît Rigot (Regional Director for Pays de la Loire at Bpifrance) handed the Coq Vert awards on Thursday to Maxime Séché, CEO of Séché Environnement, and his teams. This tremendous accolade from Bpifrance illustrates the commitment shown by 10 Group subsidiaries and over 20 Group sites specializing in the circular economy.

As such, several hazardous waste sorting and recycling platforms operated by Triadis Services have been incorporated into Bpifrance’s Diag Eco-Flux program, which provides bespoke support and guidance for achieving long-term savings, while reining in energy, material, waste and water losses. This scheme has been instrumental in developing a project at the Etampes site in France’s Essonne region to internally reuse 3,000 m3 of runoff water to wash plastic packaging prior to recycling.

Similarly, Séché Assainissement’s eight agencies specializing in maintaining wastewater treatment networks and facilities are benefitting from the Diag Décarbon’Action program. This Bpifrance-led initiative is helping Séché Assainissement’s agencies assess their carbon footprint and define an action plan to decarbonize their activities. This program has lent credence to the decision by Séché Bpifrance bestows a series of “Coq Vert” awards on Séché Environnement in recognition of its commitment in driving the ecological transition 2 Assainissement’s agency in Neuilly-sur-Marne in France’s Seine-Saint-Denis region to develop a fat recycling process.

“I’m extremely proud to see Séché Environnement become a member of this community of companies striving to move the ecological transition forward. Membership of the Coq Vert community reflects the Group’s enduring commitment and efforts to deliver solutions harnessing the circular economy and offer increasingly innovative services to minimize our impact and our customers’ impact on the environment,” explained Maxime Séché, before adding: “Bpifrance’s support is invaluable. It’s a real catalyst for developing eco-responsible projects in alignment with Séché Environnement’s DNA.”

Bpifrance and ADEME launched the initiative two years ago with the aim of creating a collective movement to promote the ecological transition. The Coq Vert community now boasts over 1,400 eco-committed members, whether leading their own transition strategies or offering green solutions. The aim is to build a collective driving force to power the ecological transition with eco-minded entrepreneurs and CEOs.

“We’re proud to support the Séché Environnement with its long-standing development that embraces the circular economy and net-zero objectives, especially since the Group is not only engaged in its own transition but also offers green solutions,” stated Benoît Rigot, Regional Director for Pays de la Loire at Bpifrance. “Showcasing the companies that are committed to leading the transition is also what drives our teams every day. Thanks to Séché Environnement for joining this community and working towards a low-carbon economy.” »
