Preserving water
Consuming less
That is why we closely monitor the quality of the water produced by our industrial facilities. The Group is also actively taking steps to minimize its consumption and reduce the volume of water extracted.
We aim to cut our water consumption by at least 10% by 2025 and 13% by 2026.
Our efforts focus in particular on reducing the volume of water extracted from urban networks as well as developing solutions to recover rainwater and reuse the water required for our industrial processes.
Developing water efficiency solutions for our clients
Treating and monitoring water quality
In order to preserve water as well as safeguard public health and the environment, and therefore help manufacturing become more responsible, it is essential to reduce the presence of contaminants in water.
Recycling and reusing water
We can reduce our impact on the environment by optimizing the way we use water so as to:
- reduce the volume of water extracted
- minimize the quantity of contaminants discharged into the environment
On-site action plan
A far-reaching action plan is being deployed at the Group’s industrial sites, where water withdrawals exceed 1,000 m3 per year, in order to continue the reduction in water withdrawals begun in 2022.
- Metering of main site equipment
- Process modification (all or part)
- Replacement of equipment with less-consuming equipment
- Reuse of rainwater
- Reuse of treated wastewater
- Modification of organization or management
