World Day for Health and Safety at Work: let’s act together
For this World Day for Health and Safety at Work, Séché Environnement unveils a new internal campaign to raise awareness amongst its staff and introduces its team of preventers. To reduce the number of accidents and diminish professional illnesses, let’s be vigilant, let’s act together.
Séché Environnement is a family business made up of men and women who contribute together, on the ground and day after day, to achieve an essential mission: to protect the environment and the conditions for a healthy life for everyone. On this April 28 dedicated to health and safety at work, the Group renews its total commitment to do everything it can to protect its staff and to prevent the risks of accidents in the workplace and professional illness.
When biodiversity rhymes with safety
Today, the group is launching a major internal awareness-raising campaign on the subject of risk prevention. Skipper, our new mascot, will be charged with constantly reminding every staff member that the priority is always to ensure their physical integrity and that of their colleagues. Based on a corporate culture and a constant commitment in favor of the protection of biodiversity, the campaign is inspired by the behavior of the animal species around the Group’s sites in Europe, South Africa and Latin America.
The creations are accessible via an internal platform, as well as several practical prevention tools enabling each person to play a part in ensuring everyone’s safety. The campaign will be rolled out with posters, and digitally, throughout the year.
Meet our team of preventers
The group’s mobilization in this field is not new and is increasing every year. Our departments count around 40 heads of QHSE (Quality Health Safety Environment) and a team of 6 preventers. Thanks to their overall vision of the main risks within the Group, they implement transversal prevention measures and bring their expertise and advice to the operators, as well as the managers and directors. Get to know them on video!
We are all responsible
Lastly, let’s make the most of this world day to remember that everyone’s safety also depends on you, and all of us, who produce, throw away, and sort our waste which sometimes has serious risks. So, in December 2021, given the rise in sharp and cutting sanitary objects (notably needles) found in waste bins, we are launching an appeal to the population, as well as to the collectivities of Mayenne, Orne and Sarthe.
