Managing hazards
At the Triadis Services Beaufort facility, our team of 17 people handles the small quantities of hazardous waste produced by industry or households. Waste such as paint, solvents and pesticides present a risk to the environment and public health. Using our 13 concrete boxes, we are able to chemically isolate incompatible waste safely.
It is our role to offer the people who produce this waste an effective process from collection (supplying containers and training personnel) to treatment at our platform. Our team of chemists sorts and groups the waste by chemically compatible categories, before it is conditioned and transferred to the appropriate recovery channels or certified hazardous waste treatment channels.

Improving our collection service
At every TRIADIS facility throughout the Group, we strive to improve our collection service from both an environmental and financial point of view. At the platform in Beaufort-Orbagna, we have put in place measures to cut the carbon footprint of our collections by better filling dumpsters, optimizing routes and acquiring a bale compressor machine for plastic containers.

Driving the environmental transition
Once the waste has been sorted, we group together any material that can be recovered, including mineral or vegetable oils, lead batteries, unsoiled scrap metal, electric cables and radiographic images. Moreover, since January 2021, we have been developing a channel to recover high-density polyethylene.
In collaboration with the neighboring Speichim Processing facility, we have implemented an action plan to protect biodiversity and raise awareness about why it matters among the people working across our two sites. We are supported by the students from the Lycée agricole de Montmorot as well as Jura Nature Environnement, a non-profit that conducted a wildlife inventory on unbuilt parcels of land.

Promoting a local service
Triadis Services provides a local service that is essential to people living in the surrounding area. We send waste brought to the local junkyard to the appropriate treatment and recovery channels. Furthermore, we satisfy the needs of local businesses and farms by collecting and disposing of the small quantities of hazardous waste they produce.
