At our Séché Healthcare facility in Nantes, we handle waste produced by healthcare professionals in the greater Nantes area, including medical establishments, clinics, hospitals and veterinary surgeries.
Potentially infectious medical waste (PIMW) represents a risk to all those who handle it. This includes all waste produced by healthcare professionals (such as syringes, bandages, compresses or sharps). In order to protect patients, healthcare professionals and treatment providers, we have developed a specific process to minimize contact with this kind of waste.
We support our clients every step of the way, providing both administrative and technical support. Moreover, we provide special containers to collect PIMW, and our specially designed trucks enable us to safely transport it to the authorized treatment channels.
All our collection drivers have received training specifically regarding the collection of infectious and toxic medical waste, as well as how to react in the event of an incident.
