Mo'UVE Montauban
DiscoverLeveraging waste as a new source of energy
We have undertaken an ambitious upgrade program at the facility to bring a technically and environmentally high-performance energy generation unit to the region that will transform waste into energy resources. The program has involved vast construction work to build a waste-to-energy facility (referred to in French by the acronym UVE), named Mo’UVE.
Alongside this work, our team of 22 people has continued to treat waste in the existing facility, thereby guaranteeing service continuity in the region.
As we understand the true power of the circular economy, we have structured Mo’UVE to be able to cover a significant proportion of demand on the Montauban urban heating network, which is also undergoing considerable extension work. Once completed, toward late 2023, we will be able to generate three times more energy than today, reaching performance of nearly 100%. Here, the energy transition is becoming a reality for everyone living in the surrounding area.

Supporting regions to bring about their energy transition
In 2023, Mo’UVE will become a major asset driving the energy transition, having operated in the region for many years already. Scaled to suit the needs of the local waste management federation, SIRTOMAD, the waste-to-energy unit will cover the majority of demand on the urban heating network, primarily in winter, and in addition will generate electricity that will be injected into the public grid. In synergy with our DRIMM facility in Montech/Escatalens, we also supplement their existing facilities providing material recovery solutions (including the household packaging sorting center, furniture and industrial waste sorting center, and the waste collection center).
