Thermal treatment by incineration of household waste
-
A thermal treatment process of waste by combustion in the presence of air. It aims for the complete oxidation of the organic fraction of waste at very high temperatures in special furnaces, adapted to the characteristics of the waste.
-
The highly technical facilities integrate a fume purification process prior to release into the atmosphere. These emissions are continuously monitored by air testing.
-
The facilities are controlled by external certified laboratories.

Steam & electricity production
-
Recovery of the thermal energy released during the cooling of combustion gases in the form of steam. The steam is routed to three industrial clients in close proximity to the site.
-
The remaining thermal energy ensures electricity production that is reinjected into Strasbourg's electrical grid.
Maturation complex for slag
-
A maturation complex used for the slag from the incineration of household waste. Maturation reduces the organic matter content. The slag can then be reused as part of recovery operations (mainly in the capping layer of roads).
